spacer As a breast cancer survivor, Eileen Zegar chose to specialize in the field of oncology. 

Her education in Chinese Medicine was interrupted when she was diagnosed with cancer.  Her teachers pointed out that this would be an opportunity to truly understand the patient's perspective.  The experience of recovering from a diagnosis of cancer informs every decision Eileen makes as a healthcare practitioner.  		spacer

Eileen has lectured on the integration of Eastern and Western Medicine in the treatment of cancer from the patient's perspective.

Eileen teaches monthly workshops at weSPARK Cancer Support Center in the San Fernando Valley.  Eileen was recently featured in an article in the weSPARK newsletter.   Along with Shiatsu instructor Ingrid Marsten, Eileen has developed continuing education courses for acupuncturists.  Instruction focuses in the use of Manual Modalities to support Cancer Care.
