Oncology

sunAs a breast cancer survivor, Eileen Zegar chose to specialize in the field of oncology.

Her education in Chinese Medicine was interrupted when she was diagnosed with cancer. Her teachers pointed out that this would be an opportunity to truly understand the patient’s perspective. The experience of recovering from a diagnosis of cancer informs every decision Eileen makes as a health care practitioner.

Eileen structures a course of treatment to meet each cancer patient’s individual needs. She emphasizes the integration of Eastern and Western medicine in the treatment of cancer. Zegar provides compassionate support before, during, and after your cancer treatment.

Here’s what one cancer patient has to say about Eileen’s care:

Eileen’s deep knowledge of eastern and western medicine, strong sense of intuition and openness to collaborating with my doctors gave me a sense of calm and order as I waded through multiple attempts, first to conceive; the horror of a cancer diagnosis and finally the emotional and physical turmoil that accompanies these events.  Most dramatically, Eileen’s treatments helped mitigate the effects of chemotherapy.  I have and will continue to recommend Eileen to anyone suffering from hay fever to cancer, including my western Doctors who have, in turn, recommended Eileen to their patients.                                                                                 Holly W.
